Information about the marketplace

Multiply uses the Amazon API for all interactions.

The index of your catalog will be updated once a day thanks to the "Load Catalog"task

  • Stock
  • FBA/FBS status
  • Offer conditions (new or used)

Observing Offers : Multiply monitors your offers continuously. Each time a parameter changes on Amazon, Multiply is notified and performs an observation. The frequency of these observations depends on the activity level of the product page.

Data Collected :

  • Your Data : Offer price, offers conditions, shipping fees, shipping delay, rating, commission rates, daily sales
  • Competitor Data : Offer price, offers conditions, shipping fees, shipping delay, rating,
  • Buy Box Data

Marketplace Limits : Amazon imposes a limit of 30 requests per hour per merchant. These requests are shared across all your catalogs and other providers such as feed managers.

Understanding the Buy Box

Types of Buy Boxes

 Prime offers

 Non-prime offers

Buy Box Allocation

The algorithm used by Amazon to allocate the Buy Box is not fully transparent. It is not always awarded to the cheapest offer.

The Buy Box can vary based on the customer's location and their Prime status.

Handling Multiply's Limitations

Multiple Offers for One Product

When you have multiple offers for the same ASIN, Multiply differentiates them based on the condition (new or used) and the Prime / Non Prime status

If differentiation is not possible, Multiply defaults to the offer with the lowest shipping fee and then the lowest landed offer.

Avoid FBA and FBS Conflicts

Ensure you do not send FBS stock on an FBA offer to prevent Amazon from creating a fictive FBS offer, complicating pricing.

Amazon Price Application Issues

Multiply’s target price may not apply if it is outside your Amazon bounds.

Issues can also arise if the country of origin is not mentioned or if there is a discount on the offer.
